What to Expect on Your First Poplin Order

Maybe this is your first time outsourcing your laundry, or maybe you’ve been using the local “laundromat near me” fluff’n’fold for years. Either way, we welcome you to Poplin!

First, download the Poplin app. This ensures you have the best experience receiving updates and messages about your order. Plus it’s pretty 🌸🧺.

After creating a quick account, easily put in all your laundry order details. This includes address, laundry care preferences (did someone say hang dry?), detergent type (hypoallergenic or regular), order size, and service speed. Customize the settings to best suit your laundry needs.

Review the order details and place your first ever Poplin order 🥳! Gather your laundry–––13 gallon trash bags or cloth laundry bags work GREAT––and place it outside for pickup. The hard (but actually super easy) part is done.

Once your order is placed, we send it out to the local superheroes––ahem, Laundry Pros. When it’s assigned, your friendly neighborhood Laundry Pro will send you a message with their estimated arrival time for pickup. Your laundry will probably be picked up that day, but this depends on your selected service speed and what time you place your order. Pickups and deliveries only occur between 8am-8pm so if you place a midnight order….. It won’t get picked up until the new day.

The Laundry Pro who accepts your order will communicate with you on the exact timeline, but they will pick up your laundry by the deadline associated with the service speed you selected. You can see this deadline, and message your Laundry Pro in the app.

After pickup, your Laundry Pro will carefully wash, dry and fold your treasured items to perfection! If they have any questions, they’ll message you. If you have any questions, feel free to message them.

They can sort darks and lights, they can sort by family members, they can let you know if your toddler left his favorite toy truck in the laundry basket.

Once the laundry is packaged, your Laundry Pro will weigh each bag. Poplin charges by the pound* so this is a very important step. This is when your card is charged.

*Standard orders have a $20 Minimum, and Express orders have a $40 minimum

Depending on the speed you chose, your order will either be delivered the same day, or the following day. Orders over 100 lbs. may be extended by 24 hours so we can provide you with the highest quality of service.

Now that the laundry is beautifully packaged and weighed, it’s ready for delivery! Your superstar Laundry Pro will communicate their estimated arrival time with you, but it will be by the deadline listed in the app.

Time for the grand finale: delivery

Your freshly cleaned and crisply folded laundry makes its triumphant return. Like a reunion with an old friend, but better, because your friend smells fantastic.

From there, slip those shirts and socks into your drawers and do a little dance because your laundry is D-O-N-E.
