Laundry pricing shouldn’t feel like decoding a secret menu. With Poplin, it’s refreshingly clear: standard next‑day service is $1/LB in most zip codes, with pickup and delivery always free. The per‑pound price for your address appears right in the app during checkout, so you’ll be informed if you’re in one of the few higher priced zips. Express service—same‑day or overnight—is $2/LB in most zip codes. 

So… what does $1/LB look like in the real world?

Picture this: a typical hamper weighs about 10 pounds. Three tees together roughly equal a pound; jeans hover near 1.5 pounds; a hoodie is closer to 2. When you place an order, the app shows an estimate based on your inputs. After your Laundry Pro washes, dries, folds, and packs, we weigh the clean, folded laundry—always dry, never wet—so you pay for fabric, not water. Want to double‑check? Step on a bathroom scale with and without the bag and subtract. We do this every day; we get the weight right.

Charged per bag? Nope.

There’s no per-bag charge; you are charged per pound of laundry. The number of bags you provide does not change the per pound price. In fact, smaller bags are better for Laundry Pros!

Are there extra charges? No secrets—here’s the whole list.

• Oversized items, like comforters, are an EXTRA $8 per item (that's in addition to the cost per pound). An oversized item is one that requires its own wash/dry cycle in a standard sized residential washer/dryer.

• Tips: Entirely optional—but they make a Laundry Pro’s day.

• Trust & Safety fee: A small $3 per‑order fee keeps the platform safe, secure, and humming so your clothing gets the care it deserves. You’ll see it clearly in your estimate.

• Minimum order: $30. Send a sock or send a mountain—if weight × price falls under $30, the minimum applies.

Occasional fees you’ll approve (or can easily avoid)

• Surge pricing: Only used if we must incentivize a Pro to accept your prior orders multiple times—think unusually time‑consuming requests or tiny loads during peak capacity. Surge is never applied without your explicit approval.

• Missed pickup: $10 if a Laundry Pro arrives and your laundry isn’t at the designated spot.

• Unsanitary fee: $20 if a load is unsafe to service.

Wet or dry weight? Always dry.

We only weigh after the care is complete and your laundry is clean, crisp, folded, and ready to re‑enter your closet.
